About Repella
What is Repella? Repella is an Australian range of simple, low-effort products for the home and backyard. It currently includes Repella Tablets, a plant-based aromatic repellent for garages, sheds, caravans and entry points; the Repella Solar Bug Zapper Lamp for flying insects in outdoor living areas; and Repella Weed & Grass Killer for driveways, paths, paving and garden edges.
Which Repella product is right for me? Choose the tablets to discourage pests from enclosed or semi-enclosed spaces like garages, sheds and caravans. Choose the solar lamp if mosquitoes and flying insects are ruining your evenings outside. Choose the weed killer for weeds coming up through driveways, paths, paving joints and along fence lines. Many customers use more than one.
Does Repella require electricity? None of our products need a power point or wiring. The tablets and the weed killer need no power at all. The solar lamp has a built-in rechargeable battery charged by the sun.

Repella Weed & Grass Killer
How does it work? It is a contact weed killer. Sprayed onto the leaves of a growing weed, it breaks down the leaf surface so the plant dries out and dies back. It works on the foliage, not through the soil.
Do I need to mix it? No. It comes ready to use in a trigger spray bottle. There is nothing to measure, dilute or rinse out afterwards.
How long until I see something happen? Most common garden weeds start to wilt within a few hours on a warm, dry day. They usually brown off over the following day or two. Cooler weather slows it down.
Where can I use it? Driveways, footpaths, paving and the cracks between pavers, gravel, mulch, bare garden beds, fence lines and around sheds, bins and tanks. Always follow the directions on the label.
Where should I NOT use it? This is a non-selective weed and grass killer, which means it does not know the difference between a weed and a plant you want to keep. Do not use it on lawn or turf — it will kill the grass and leave a dead patch. Shield any nearby plants you want to keep, and avoid spraying on windy days because the mist carries further than you would expect.
Is it glyphosate-free? Yes. There is no glyphosate anywhere in the formulation.
When can kids and pets go back on the area? Once the treated surface has fully dried. As with any garden product, keep everyone off it while it is still wet and follow the directions on the label.
What if it rains? Heavy rain within a few hours of spraying can wash it off before it has done its work. Pick a dry day with no rain forecast for the next few hours.
How much area does one bottle cover? See the coverage figure on your product label. Coverage varies with how dense the weeds are and how heavily you spray.
Will the weeds come back? It works on the part of the plant you spray. Established weeds with deep roots may re-shoot, and new seeds will germinate over time, so occasional repeat treatment is normal. Treat new growth while it is small.
Can I use it on my vegetable patch? Only where the product label says you can. Check the directions supplied with your bottle before using it anywhere near food plants.
